Evolution of a Meme: Girl in Belarus on a Bus with AK.

There was this Facebook page I used to follow called Virtual Experience. They’ve recently been taken offline. It was an art page, where someone would use photo shop to make these photos, that looked like they were from another world. I was a big fan of this page and admired how weird and unique the art was. Some of them I’ve saved my self to use for memes. One photo that this guy made, was of a young girl riding a public bus with an AK47. This was cool but I didn’t think much of it. About a week later I saw a meme libertarian page, with the same photo. It was edited and had a quote added to it. Another week later I was trying to Virtual Experience, after it was taken down, I found a reddit post about it. People on Reddit didn’t even know where this came from: https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinteresting/comments/fsl1rb/girl_in_belarus_on_a_train_with_a_ak/

The original photo was such a great template, that it’s one of Virtual Experience’s more famous memes. I even have old photos I saved by them, for my own meme. I know of a couple other pages that offer art that is similar to what Virtual Experience was doing. Also if you want to make a image/text meme, these photoshop artist provide great images:

It’s interesting to see something made by one person, and used by somewhere else. If you have an art page like and want to be mentioned, please comment, I would love to see what you have.
